For our Warehouse in Montfoort we are looking for a Transport Analyst

As a Transport Analyst you are responsible for the logistical process of our products to our customers by road and sea transport. In addition, we expect the Transport Analyst to implement optimizations through various projects. The department you will be working in is an existing department and you will work together with Transport Coordinators. To perform this job you will have to maintain frequent contact with various internal departments (warehouse, sales, Finance) and external relations (e.g. transporters). In this position you will report to the Supply Chain Manager.

What will you be doing?

  • Analyzing transport data and implementing the sustainability policy (CO2 reports etc.)
  • Coordination of all outbound transport activities with associated documents
  • Managing export formalities in the customs system and coordinating our customers’ notification procedures
  • Organizing transport for return shipments and reporting of customer complaints related to the transport process and ensuring a proper handling thereof
  • Negotiate applicable rates with logistics service providers/shipowners/brokers
  • Validation of transport invoices
  • Conducting negotiations with carriers and preparing/maintaining performance reports
  • Manage pallet administration between Edelman, our carriers and our customers
  • Initiate and execute improvement actions on outbound transports in order to reduce costs

Who are we looking for?

  • HBO working and thinking level
  • Preferably at least 5 years of work experience in a similar logistics role       
  • Knowledge of shipping terms and transport documents
  • Good command of the Dutch and English languages, both verbally and in writing; German is an advantage
  • Familiar with logistics related issues such as trade compliance and Inco terms
  • Team player with a customer-oriented attitude and organizational sensitivity
  • Accurate and well functioning in a dynamic and sometimes hectic environment
  • Good communication and social skills
