For our Purchasing Department, we are looking for a Product Manager

The Product Manager is responsible for sourcing and developing the collection of decorative items for our brands.  You report to the Buying Director and are supported by the purchasing administration in Reeuwijk and when travelling in the Far East by colleagues from our Purchasing Office in Hong Kong.

We are looking for someone with international purchasing experience. A strong personality with a sixth sense when it comes to spotting trends and their commercial translation. With decisiveness and creativity, you ensure a strong collection and thus lay the basis for our commercial successes.

What will you be doing?

  • Monitoring market developments (competition, prices, trends) and translating developments into new innovative concepts and products
  • Supplier management: seeking, selecting and maintaining good contacts with suppliers
  • Managing margins, quality and performance
  • Supervising the presentation of the (new) collection in the showroom and at trade fairs
  • Providing information to the Sales team about the (new) collection and supporting the Sales team in drawing up and implementing new sales plans and cross- and up-selling activities
  • You go on a purchasing trip about 4 to 5 times a year and also visit 2 to 3 relevant European trade fairs

Who are we looking for?

  • HBO working and thinking level supplemented by relevant international purchasing experience
  • Demonstrable knowledge of and experience with decorative items
  • Excellent commercial, analytical and communication skills
  • Good command of the Dutch and English languages
  • Pioneer with attention to detail, quality and innovation, but also an involved team player!
  • You have affinity with the garden industry
