Our IT department is seeking a First-Line IT Support Technician

As part of a small team, you will be responsible for the support, availability, proper functioning and correct use of Edelman equipment and software. This is a broad role in which you will provide support in the area of workplace and other IT hardware. You will also be responsible for first-line support for our Microsoft Dynamics AX applications and others including Magento, PIMcore, Slim4 and Adobe-creative. 

What will you be doing?

  • First-line support: handling, analysing and resolving issues and advising users on both infrastructure (hardware) and our applications. Keeping the helpdesk application and documentation up-to-date.
  • Workplace management: ordering, installing and delivering computer equipment. Carrying out and following up on repairs and modifications. Creating, installing and testing images and updates.
  • Access control: creating and maintaining user accounts and rights in various systems. Management of fixed and mobile telephone connections. Management of policies, including on RDS, in collaboration with external partners.

Who are we looking for?

  • Minimum MBO professional and academic level (preferably in the field of IT), supplemented with approximately two years of work experience as a Helpdesk Technician and/or Workplace Manager
  • Relevant knowledge of equipment, software, networks and communication/internet
  • Good command of Dutch and English, both written and spoken
  • On-call availability is part of this dynamic role
